CO-OP CORNER
Chromeworks is a proud supporter of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board’s co-op program, offering real-world work experience to high school students across the region at a time when many mainstream co-op placements have disappeared due to the pandemic.
Our Chromeworks Co-Op Crew is involved in every aspect of our online activities, including coding, online content creation, social media, website management and student outreach. Many of our co-ops produce regular video segments and tutorials that air on our weekly coding live stream, The Chromeworks Club.
If you’re a tech-savvy high school student looking for great co-op learning experience, contact Mr. Tomec at info@chromeworks.ca
BEN TAIT
Ben created a number of fun Scratch projects for Chromeworks, including Space Void and Super Smash Bros., both of which turned into featured game tutorials. He's very proud of Time Travelers, a weekly series where he delved into the history of video game consoles.
PASSIONS: "I enjoy playing sports and anything that's math or coding related."
MR. T SAYS: "Ben brought boundless enthusiasm and a wicked sense of humour to everything he worked at with Chromeworks. His Time Travelers series was an outstanding work of journalism for a high school student "

STUDENT W. NO PIC
A nice description of some of the significant projects the student worked on during their time with us. You need to get back to some of these dudes and ask them to be specific. Ask them what they want to highlight. What they're most proud of. Paraphrase. Don't use what the student gave you. Ask me for advice if you are stuck.
PASSIONS: "Put this is a quotation"
MR. T SAYS: "I will supply a nice quote about every student. Just put placeholder text in here. You can safely budget 3 lines of text for every student"
