Chromeworks Digital Learning Lab

Code your own video games and animations, make memes and viral videos, record your own music and podcasts. The digital sky’s the limit in our open-ended camp and after-school programs, which will teach children to unlock the powerful creative potential of computer technology by working on self-directed projects in a supported, team-learning environment.

Organized by maverick elementary school teacher Andrew Tomec, the Chromeworks Learning Lab will harness the power of “deep learning”, a powerful new educational philosophy that emphasizes student autonomy over structured curriculum, allowing kids maximum creative freedom to pursue their passions and reignite their love of learning.

Participants will each be working on their own Chromebook computer, with access to cloud-based coding and multimedia tools which they’ll be able to continue using at home and school for years to come.
