WEVIDEO WEDNESDAYS
Learn film making and video editing with Chromeworks. Every Wednesday for the duration of the COVID lockdown, we'll be teaching a fun new lesson on how to make movies at home.
This latest upgrade to Chromeworks' lineup of fun computer activities for kids stuck at home comes courtesy of WeVideo, makers of what's billed as the world's most popular and powerful cloud-based video editor.

WeVideo has partnered with Chromeworks to offer free user accounts to every student who joins Mr. Tomec's online video editing class, live streaming every Wednesday at 10am Eastern on YouTube. Just click on this link to register for your account. For the duration of the COVID crisis, you'll get unlimited access to the WeVideo editor and more than a million stock videos, graphics, and audio files normally accessible only to paying customers.
The fun begins on Wednesday, April 8 with an introductory lesson on how to use WeVideo's main features. You'll learn how to:
-
Import, modify and trim your own footage
-
Add stock footage and sound effects from WeVideo's library
-
Add text titles and motion graphics
-
Add fun transitions between your clips

As you learn the basics of video editing, you'll be challenged to create your own video projects at home. The best projects will be aired during our weekly video editing live streams.
